We created the Meditate Mate out of necessity when we struggled to find a natural solution for our eldest children. After months of searching with no success; we knew we had to make it our mission!
We’ve created a completely natural solution to a problem that has plagued nearly every single Aussie parent without a long teaching process or complicated steps to follow which is endorsed by certified naturopaths across Australia.
The Meditate Mate Monkey is a soft plush toy designed to aid children to relax and calm themselves at bedtime. It has a single 7 minute guided meditation followed by soft music that children can listen to and drift off to sleep or will assist with being mindful. The total meditation time is 30 minutes.
The single meditation in the Monkey is intentional as it is meant to be a trigger for your child to relax and fall asleep when they hear it over a period of time, it can help your bedtime routine.
The Monkey comes with 3 adjustable sound volumes that are operated by a button on the left hand so you can find the perfect volume for the room or if it’s being cuddled in bed. The meditation is started by pushing the love heart on its chest under the black shirt.
The Monkey is 25cm high and weighs 230 grams and requires three AAA batteries for the operation that are not supplied, which are easy and safe to install in the Monkey’s back.

All orders are shipped within two working days after purchase. We ship all Monkeys with online tracking. International orders are shipped via airmail. Orders within Australia are shipped at a flat cost of $14.95 and overseas orders $35 AUD.

From the moment he met his monkey he was in love and couldn’t wait to go to bed! (This was amazing because before he’d drag out bedtime for ages to avoid going to sleep.) He was so proud of his new monkey that he took him into preschool for show n tell.
My son now meditates every night before he sleeps. We got the monkey at the perfect time as he was experiencing some separation anxiety at bedtime but having his Meditate Mate has really helped him. He’s less worried about me leaving him and feels more secure and settled when he is going to sleep.

I love the idea of this toy, it’s quite innovative and I love that it uses meditation. However, after using it for a few weeks, I feel it is quite limited. My son is almost 4 and relaxing music at bedtime soothes him but he doesn’t seem to like this track and it’s the only track available on the toy, as far as I can tell. It would be super useful to have multiple options – every other thing I own with relaxing music has more than one option – and also to be able to play the meditation without music. I still would recommend it based on the idea, the quality of the toy, and the way the child speaks during the meditation, but I wish it was more versatile, especially for the price.

My kids have changed heaps when it comes to bedtime my partner and I actually get some time to watch a movie. I would swear buy it if u have a child or know someone who struggles to sleep. What a game changer. My 9 year old daughter has always struggled to get off to sleep, she also suffers from anxiety so depending on what’s happened in her day that can make bedtime even harder, needing extra comfort. Meditate Mate has become her fave toy to sleep with, my husband and I do the whole process with her and 9 times out of 10 she’s asleep before it finishes and sometimes us also! The music is so calming and the guided meditation with the breathing at the start we do together. She can’t be without it and anytime she wakes up and can’t get back to sleep we tell her to turn monkey on as that will calm her mind and drift back off to sleep.
